Yorkshire
Anarchist
Federation is a collective of
revolutionary class struggle
anarchist
groups based in
Sheffield
and
Leeds,
affiliated to the
Anarchist
Federation (Britain). We believe that the
current economic
system and the
institutions that defend it are to blame for society’s problems and
that by fundamentally changing the nature in which we organise our
lives we can live in a world where we are not exploited, alienated and
oppressed. This is Anarchist Communism.
We
know that it is possible through the
united self-activities
of workers,
students, the unemployed and the homeless - whether woman or man, old
or young, black or white, gay or straight - to create a society that is
organised
without governments
where we
can live in
co-operation,
each
taking a role in providing for one another so that we can enjoy our
lives happily -
free
from hierarchy, religion, war and environmental
destruction.
We
understand that our desire to make the world a better place to live in
is a big dream but we also believe it is one worth
fighting for! We
realise that this task will be a long and difficult one but we must
face the attacks made from those who do not want give up their power
and wealth in our work places and communities. By participating in
activism we can confront and challenge these institutions and continue
our struggle to change the world.
